Dungeons and Dragons

Magnus came charging into the living room from his most recent trip to the Library. He had a large hardcover with him, but it didn't look like an actual reading book. Stopping in front of the Emperor, Magnus presented the book with a wide grin. "Look what I found, Father!" Magnus said. "It's called 'Dungeons and Dragons'. It seems to be a game system where people make characters and act out stories." "Yes," the Emperor said, taking the tome from Magnus. "Can we play it?" Magnus asked. "We could play Pathfinder instead," the Emperor said. He had lost all track of the official Dungeons and Dragons set up around 30th edition, they were on the 128th edition now. Unless they had slipped a new one out without him knowing. "Is that like Dungeons and Dragons?" Magnus asked. "Yes," the Emperor said. "It was just made by different set of people than Dungeons and Dragons." "Is it eas...

Little Primarchs: the Musical

Magnus had a song stuck in his head. It was getting annoying because it had been in his head for several days. He wanted it out of his head, he had tried several things, including trying to get a different song stuck in his head. This left him with one option: a psychic spell. He cast the spell that night, hoping that it would get the song out of his head. The Emperor woke Magnus the next morning, and the song was out of his head. He came out to hear Fulgrim singing in the shower. ~~I like to sing in the shower. It's fun to make my voice echo off the waaalll!~~ Fulgrim sang, holding out the last note while sliding the notes upward. There was also the sound of Fulgrim dancing in the shower as he continued singing about how he liked to hear his own voice. "Fulgrim's in a good mood today," Magnus said to Ferrus as he entered the dining room. "At least he's singing about singing, and not washing himself," Ferrus said. "Can you imagine hearing a ...

Time Loop

The Emperor closed his eyes, a silent apology on his lips as the Imperator Somnium died around him. ******************* "My lord?" Malcador asked. The Emperor's eyes snapped open, he was standing in the strategium of the Imperator Somnium . "It's nothing," the Emperor said. "Just an echo from our translation." Malcador grunted, clearly not satisfied. He didn't pursue the matter though. The occulus opened and they had something else to focus their attention on. "That's not natural," Malcador said. "Indeed not," the Emperor said. "Report." "We are experiencing a large gravimetric distortion, lord," the officer at the auspex stated. "Reverse," Shipmaster Kaal ordered. The sound of the engines straining rose in pitch. The ship started to shake, and there was a groaning sound from the superstructure. "Full stop," the Emperor said. Kaal agreed with that and the sounds dro...

The Kissing Booth

Nova was holding a school carnival to allow parents to meet each other, and to function as a small fundraiser. The Primarchs weren't sure what the fundraiser part was for, but they weren't worried about that. The thing that they were worried about was that they had to help put on various events throughout the evening. Sanguinius was especially worrying about it; he had been signed up for something called a kissing booth. He wasn't alone, Fulgrim, Leman, and Vulkan were also taking turns. However, they didn't seem quite as uncomfortable about it. "It'll be alright," Horus said, trying to encourage Sanguinius. He had been assigned to help with a raffle that was going to be taking place that evening. "I don't know," Sanguinius said. "I find it very awkward when people ogle over me. That's a lot of what is going to happen when I take my turn in the kissing booth." "You are one of the most loved of all of us," Horus...

The Labyrinth

The Emperor noted the Primarchs' excitement when they boarded the Thunderhawk after school. Horus was nearly bouncing in the co-pilot's seat. He was able to wait until the Emperor had gotten the Thunderhawk back up into the mostly clear lane back to the Palace before spilling though. "We learned about this maze on Magna Crete that is supposed to be the hardest maze in the Imperium," Horus said. "Can we go try it?" Magnus asked. He looked like he wanted to take on the maze as a personal challenge. "Please?" Perturabo added. He also looked like the maze was aimed as a challenge to the Primarchs. "I'll look into it," the Emperor replied. "So that's a maybe?" Leman asked. "A maybe," the Emperor said. He knew better than to say yes. The Primarchs were all certain that the Emperor would take them once he had learned more about the place. They arrived back at the Palace and the Primarchs set about doing ...
