Hiccups

Valdor entered his master's residence and found bored looking Primarchs scattered about the living room.  The Emperor had some late meetings to attend to, and Malcador was taking care of something on Luna, so Valdor was there to babysit. "Anything in particular that you guys want to do?" Valdor asked as he took his seat on the large couch. "Eating contest!" Leman said, perking up a bit. "Noooo," Fulgrim said. "Mortarion always has the worst gas after one of those." "I wasn't thinking of challenging Mortarion," Leman said. "I was going to challenge Valdor." "No," Valdor said. He didn't want to know what kind of eating challenge Leman had in mind. "Please?" Leman asked. "No," Valdor repeated. "Not tonight." "Why not?" Leman asked. "I need to be able to watch everyone else," Valdor said. "Alright," Leman sighed. He pouted a bit b...

Laser Tag

The Emperor stepped back from the panel that he had just closed up. His newest project complete, he went home. The Primarchs were happy to see him. He had been working on this project in the evenings, so they hadn't been seeing much of him. "How's your project going?" Magnus asked. "I finished it," the Emperor said. "I'll take you to check it out tomorrow." "Yay!" several of the Primarchs cheered. They always liked getting to see their fathers' projects. They headed out the next morning, picking up Malcador and Valdor on the way. The Emperor insisted that the two other adults join them in this expedition. They came into a room that had twenty-one vests and several objects that looked rather like lasguns, but were clearly not lasguns. "Everyone put a vest on," the Emperor said. "Then take a laser gun." "These aren't lasguns though," Konrad pointed out. "Lasers, not las," the...

Baby Primarchs: Baby Sitter

"What if something happens?" the Emperor asked. "They'll be just fine," Malcador said. "You need an evening away from them." "They're so small still," the Emperor insisted. "They are," Malcador admitted. "However, that should make it easier for the serf. There's nothing to worry about." "I've never been away from them though," the Emperor said. "They will be fine," Malcador said. He was trying to be supportive, but his patience was wearing thin. He was working on getting the Emperor away from the Primarchs for just an evening. "We're only going to be gone for a few hours." "I know, but a lot can happen in a few hours," the Emperor said. "I have given the serf instructions on how to get a hold of us if she needs to," Malcador said. "If something happens you will be told." "Very well," the Emperor sighed. He knew that Malcad...

Riding the Rails

The Emperor had received an unexpected invitation. It was from the minor forgeworld of Lianth. They utilized a special train to move adamantium around. It had the appearance of an ancient Terran train. They had recently re-fitted it so that it functioned as a passenger train. The Primarchs were interested, though not exactly as excited as their father was. He explained that he had once ridden rails during M2. It had been an interesting experience. Magnus and Perturabo were looking forward to experiencing the train. Konrad of course wanted to prank as many people as he could. Vulkan was the most excited of the Primarchs. The train's appearance was of a steam-engine train. Functionally it was a mag-train, as all trains were in the Imperium. However, the tech priests did have a functioning steam engine for passengers to view. This meant a lot of fire, and that was always a plus to Vulkan. Valdor was accompanying them, as per normal. Remembering other situations, he opted to trav...
