Prank War

The prank war began with Konrad short-sheeting the Lion's bed. The Lion decided to get back at him, instead of just beating Konrad up. He used a tranquilizer dart that he secreted out of the Apothicarion to ensure Konrad stayed asleep while he used the clear, plastek wrap from the kitchen to trap Konrad on his bed. The Emperor woke Konrad the next morning, and couldn't help but laugh. He did help Konrad escape his plastek cocoon. The Lion had a smirk when Konrad entered, a bit of plastek was stuck in his hair. "You have something in your hair, Konrad," Mortarion said. Konrad snarled and clawed at his hair. There was a bit of static cling, so the plastek wrap was still in his hair. Mortarion helped him get it out. The Primarchs gathered in the living room after breakfast. It was clear that there was going to be a prank war from this. They had the day off from Nova, and were intending to determine rules of engagement. "I claim the right to prank Malcador,...

Vacation

The representatives from Tarsus Four left the Throneroom. The Emperor sat back against the Golden Throne, pinching the bridge of his nose. He had been suppressing a major headache for the last several days. Malcador glanced over at him, and indicated to the administrators to delay bringing in the next petitioner. "You should take a vacation," Malcador said. "You know I can't," the Emperor said. "The Imperium will find me no matter where I go." "I can cover the Imperium for a few days," Malcador said. "I may be old, but I'm not incapable." "I never said that," the Emperor said. "You know what I meant." "I do," Malcador said with a chuckle. "Just as you know what I meant." "Fair enough," the Emperor sighed. "Besides," Malcador said. "The Primarchs will enjoy it. We've been very busy the last few weeks. They should be rewarded for their patience with...

Joyride

Horus was bored. It had been over a month since their Olympic Games and nothing really interesting had happened in that time. He wanted to do something fun, but he wasn't quite sure what yet. "It'll be fun when we're older and get to learn how to drive groundcars," Jaghatai was saying to Magnus. "Probably," Magnus said. "Though the first time it'll be really weird." "True," Jaghatai said. Hearing this, Horus was struck with an idea, he moved over to where Jaghatai and Magnus were sitting. "Why wait until we're older?" Horus asked slyly. "We could sneak down to the garage and drive a groundcar ourselves." "We aren't tall enough yet," Magnus said. "I could possibly make myself that tall, but that would require a lot of concentration." "What if we got someone else to do the pedals?" Jaghatai suggested. "Alpharius maybe." "What about me?" Alpha...

The Olympics

"What were the Olympics?" Magnus asked the Emperor one day. "At which point in time?" the Emperor replied. "There were the ancient Games that the Greccans held, and the later Games that were started in M2 and ran for quite some time." "Both," Horus said, joining the conversation. The other Primarchs turned to the Emperor, all looking excited. They enjoyed learning history from their father. In part because the Emperor had been there. This often allowed for interesting, or silly, stories. "The Ancient Games were held by the Greccans on the plains of Olympia," the Emperor said. "They had spaceflight?" Perturabo asked. "No," the Emperor said with a chuckle. "The plains of Olympia were near a town of the same name, close to Mount Olympus. The Greccans believed that their gods lived on that mountain, the games were dedicated to those gods." Perturabo snorted in distaste. He had a very strong distaste...
