Fun with Sedation

Fulgrim and Ferrus were playing off in a quiet part of the Palace. They were done with their homework and a bit bored. They were challenging each other to various tasks. Fulgrim was trying to get Ferrus to do something that looked more like actual dancing than spasmodic shaking.
"You look like Angron trying to control himself," Fulgrim said.
"Maybe that's how I like to dance," Ferrus said. His temper was fairly short, but he tended to have more control than Angron.
"But you could be so much more," Fulgrim insisted. He was very much of the mind that the Primarchs were more than just tools of war, and that culture would be vital when the galaxy was conquered.
"I can't be what I want to be?" Ferrus asked. "I agree that we can be more than tools of war, but I want to be my own person."
"Fair enough," Fulgrim said. "Diversity is important for an efficient society."
"Yes," Ferrus said. "Diversity is not a weakness."
"I guess," Fulgrim said. They were near a wall full of old statuary. Ferrus looked at the wall, and spotted a large aquilla fairly high up the wall.
"I bet I can climb up to that aquila and back down before you," Ferrus said.
"No you can't, I can be as fast as Jaghatai when I want to be," Fulgrim said. They looked about the hallway, checking for anyone who would stop them from their climbing challenge. They weren't supposed to climb the Wall of Statues, as they called it. Seeing no one, they started up the wall, racing neck and neck. They were still neck and neck about halfway to the aquila when they heard a distinct tapping sound from below them. Glancing down, they found Sister Thayla of the Silent Sisterhood.
What are you doing up there? Thayla asked in Thoughtmark.
"We are seeing who can touch the aquila first," Fulgrim said. They both knew they would have to head back down, and were going to be in trouble when they got to the floor.
I believe you both know better than to climb the wall, Thayla signed.
"You are right, Sister," Ferrus said as they began back down. Fulgrim slipped, causing him to fall. In an attempt to catch himself he grabbed Ferrus' leg. They both fell, landing in a tangled pile of limbs. They sorted themselves out, and then Ferrus spat a tooth out into his hand. He began to obviously check which tooth it was with his tongue. Fulgrim brought both hands up to his mouth, and his eyes widened.
"I just knocked out a permanent tooth," Ferrus said once he was done checking which tooth had come out. "Did you knock one out as well?"
Fulgrim nodded, but kept his hands over his mouth. Ferrus wasn't too surprised, Fulgrim took a lot of pride in his appearance, and often went quiet for several days when he lost one of his baby teeth.
"It'll be alright," Ferrus said. "We can go to the Apothecarion and they can put our teeth back in."
Lord Manus is right, Lord Fulgrim, Thayla signed. You can also contact your father from there.
"Yes, we will need to do that too," Ferrus said, well aware that they were still in trouble for climbing on the Wall of Statues. Thayla shepherded them to the Apothecarion. Ferrus headed over to the vox station off to one side and opened a channel.
"Hello?" Valdor's voice came across the vox.
"Hello, Valdor," Ferrus said. "Is Father available?"
"No," Valdor said. "He's dealing with a group from the Mechanicum. Why are you voxing from the Apothecarion?"
"Silent Sister Thayla caught Fulgrim and I climbing on the Wall of Statues," Ferrus started. "Fulgrim and I fell when we were coming back down. We both knocked a tooth out."
"That's why you aren't supposed to climb on that wall," Valdor chided gently. "Sister Thayla, please stay with Lords Fulgrim and Manus until our Master can arrive."
Thayla made some quick signs with her hands. "Sister Thayla agrees to your orders, Valdor."
"Alright," Valdor said. "I'll inform your father when he is done with the Mechanicum." The vox channel closed. A medicae approached and led the two Primarchs to the back where they would work on their teeth.
********************************
The Emperor arrived just as Fulgrim and Ferrus were being brought back out. They were clearly a bit disoriented due to the sedation that had been used on them. Fulgrim was reeling, sort of like Leman when he was drunk.
"Faatheerr," Ferrus slurred and stumbled towards the Emperor. The Emperor surpressed a smile as the two drugged Primarchs made it over to him.
"Let's go," the Emperor said placing his hands on Fulgrim and Ferrus, assuring they went in the right direction. Once out of the Apothecarion and in the main Palace he allowed them to drop behind a bit. He did look back frequently to ensure that they were still following him.
Once he looked back and saw that Ferrus seemed to be pretending to have a warhammer. Fulgrim began acting like he had a sword and the two shadow-sparred. Fulgrim made a move that would have decapitated Ferrus if they had been using real weapons. Ferrus went with the delusion and dramatically fell over, laying still to simulate being dead. Fulgrim instantly began to sob, wailing quite loudly.
"I k-k-k-killed Ferrus," Fulgrim sobbed to the Emperor, who had stepped back to his two sons.  Ferrus sat up, he looked confused as to why Fulgrim was crying.
"I think Ferrus is just fine," the Emperor said. "Look."
"Ferrus! You aren't dead!" Fulgrim shouted and nearly knocked Ferrus over. He hugged his brother by the neck, choking Ferrus.
"Let him stand up, Fulgrim," the Emperor said, grinning. Fulgrim was taller than Ferrus, though not by much. Ferrus stood and then Fulgrim hugged him again, a bit more careful to not grip him by the neck.
"Alright," the Emperor said. "Let's continue." They made it back to the residence without any further issues. Fulgrim and Ferrus were more recovered when they arrived. The other Primarchs were happy to have their brothers back. After a few more minutes, Fulgrim's eyes widened as if he had just had a revelation.
"I ugly cried did I?" Fulgrim asked the Emperor. "When I thought I killed Ferrus."
"Yes," the Emperor said. Fulgrim became a bright red, just shy of being the color of Magnus.
"But only until I sat up," Ferrus said, trying to help Fulgrim. He turned to the Emperor, "Are we still in trouble?"
"I think that you have learned the lesson," the Emperor said. He had thought about the idea of punishing Fulgrim and Ferrus for climbing on the wall, but found that he couldn't think of anything that was worse for Fulgrim than what had happened as a result of their actions.
"Yes, we did," Fulgrim said. "I ugly cry when I've been sedated."
"I'm pretty sure the lesson was that we shouldn't climb the Wall of Statues," Ferrus said. "We can get hurt if we do."
"Which leads to being sedated and ugly crying," Fulgrim said. The Emperor chuckled at Fulgrim's logic.
"If that's what helps you," Ferrus said. "That seems like weird logic to me."
"If I don't get hurt, I don't sedation," Fulgrim said. "Does that make more sense?"
"Yes," Ferrus said with a laugh.

War Games: Chapter One- Setting the Defense

Hello! It's been a bit, hasn't it? This story is a bit different than normal, as this is an attempt at actual chapter structure. For reference, the Pokemon story was actually written as one giant thing, then I split it up into chunks. Just a quick thing about some OCs in this story. There are lady Custodians, though this is the first time it's ever come up. There's some other familiar faces. Hope you enjoy!   "This is so exciting!" Angron said as they saw the assembled fleets. "What do you think, Lorgar?" "It is impressive," Lorgar said after a moment. "There's a lot of strength out there. I wasn't expecting Father to have fleets this size for our first war games." "Soo pretty!" Fulgrim said as the others started to crowd around the view ports. "Lorgar's right," Ferrus said. "It's a lot more firepower than I was expecting. Especially since we're being pitted against each other...

War Games: Chapter 3- The Finer Points of Void Warfare

"I thought it was Jaghatai that did things to his ships to make them faster," Alpharius grumbled. Ingo Pech gave him an amused look. The space marine had only just arrived on the bridge as they were engaging the Raven Guard. Mathias Herzog would be with the initiates while the fight was happening. "I didn't know that meant he had a monopoly on it," Pech answered. "I guess not," Alpharius chuckled. "And I can see a bit why Konrad envies Corvus so much. He'd love to have the ability to do this with the Night Lords." "He'd have to be sterner with that rabble to make them work like the Raven Guard," Harrowmaster Armillus Dynat said. "How Konrad manages his people is his business," Alpharius said. "But we do need to do something about how Corvus has us pinned." "The Ravenlord has the net drawn tightly," the shipmaster said doubtfully. "What's that ship at 48 degrees mark 5...

War Games: Chapter Nine- Advice

The defender's butte turned out to have a rather extensive cave system, which had been found as they were building up the fortifications on each side of the defile they were camped in. Corvus had suggested that they move their camp "indoors", leaving some scraps outside. They had settled into the cave system, with the meeting room as a chamber in the conjoining "hallway" between the two arms forming the defile. Azkellon crossed to the cave area where the Raven Guard were staying. Both the Blood Angels and the Raven Guard were on rest periods, and this gave him the opportunity he had been waiting for: a chance to speak with Pryskella about how to be the perfect bodyguard to someone as headstrong as a son of the Emperor. He took his responsibility for the safety of Lord Sanguinius very seriously, but he wasn't blind. It was clear that Lord Sanguinius chaffed at Azkellon's tactics, and he wanted to make it better. "Hello, cousin," Branne Nev...
