Pokemon Part 1: Our Adventure Starts

One of the issues with a galaxy-spanning, secular society was that it became difficult to come up with a unified day of celebration. Individual planets of course had celebrations of their compliance dates, and the worlds the Primarchs chose as their own had special celebrations for that. But it left nothing for the Imperium as a whole to come together over.  Finally it was agreed that the official birth of the Imperium would be used as Imperium Day. This was counted as the date the Treaty of Olympus was signed. There were a few days around it that security was even tighter than normal around, and inside the Palace. This typically meant long lines where the various check points were, and an extra one near the refectories.  So it was that a hungry, tired, Malcador was waiting somewhat impatiently in line. He was annoyed as he didn't have long to get food, let alone eat it, and make it to his next round of meetings. The checkpoint line was eating into what time he did h...

Leman and the Chocolate Manufactorum

Nova, and in fact all the tutoriums in the Imperium, was a buzz with excitement. The galactic rumor was that the owner of the most popular sweets manufactorum was going to be giving a tour to six lucky children along with one parent or family member. The lucky children were being selected by finding a wax seal, reminiscent of the seals used by Space Marines for their oaths of moment. They had determined that they would do everything they could to ensure one of them got a seal. The Emperor agreed with the decision, and was helping them go through the sweets. He was tempted to have a group of servitors go through more, but felt that was a bit too like one of the families in ...

"Family" Picts

Malcador kept many relics, and recordings, around his tower. Prized possessions were kept closer to his rooms, under increasing security. The most personally prized possessions were kept in his rooms themselves. Among these "favorites", as the Primarchs called them, were the data core from the servo-skull that Perburabo used for recording their performance of Summer Night's Dream , and a data slate full of picts. This was called the "photo album" by the Emperor. Sometimes Malcador would bring it down and they would look through the picts. The Primarchs enjoyed it. Especially if they could get new stories out of Malcador. Sometimes Valdor would join them, but that was rare. The first several picts were in the lab the Primarchs were "born". There were different angles on the gestation pods, and a few with either Malcador or the Emperor in them. One was a high-angle shot of both with all twenty pods. That had been taken by servo-skull shortly before t...
