The people of Palmer, in the Arnold system, had agreed to come into the Imperial fold, under one condition: the Emperor had to beat their champion in a game of golf. The Palmerians revered golf as a nearly sacred activity. It was a major cornerstone of their society. The Primarchs were naturally excited.
