Amnesia

Valdor had gone to handle an uprising on a planet several sectors away. The Emperor had nearly gone himself, but Valdor insisted that it was unnecessary. He took a few other Custodians with him to lead the Imperial Army who was already working on the uprising. The uprising was settled rather quickly after a lucky shot from the rebels took out the building Valdor was using as a command center. He had been inside, coordinating the fight when the building collapsed. The wrath of the other Custodians was enough to cause capitulation from the rebels within moments. They were able to extricate Valdor from the rubble of the building. He had been helm-less when the building collapsed and was unconscious. With the rebellion ended the other Custodes took Valdor back to Terra. He did not waken on the journey back. The Emperor was waiting for them at the Apothecarion when they landed with Valdor. He had kept the Primarchs away, wanting to assess the situation before bringing any  of them...

The Nova Formal (dance)

The excitement in Nova was growing every day. They were doing a dance to celebrate the end of Old Night, even though it had been over for quite a while. Master Jeccar said it was to celebrate the anniversary of the end of Old Night which was hitting a milestone that year. The girls especially were excited for the dance. Corvus was not looking forward to the dance at all. He wanted to skip it, but the Emperor wasn't allowing that. He hadn't said that Corvus had to actually dance with anyone which was alright. He had heard Naydeea say that Nasturi was back on Terra, just in time to get to come to the dance. He also knew there would be only one way to escape Nasturi, the shadow-walk. They were learning a few basic dances in gym class. It was quite funny watching Angron try to be graceful. Though the way that Vulkan held every girl was quite amusing as well. Vulkan admitted to Corvus that he was concerned that he would hurt someone on accident. Covus knew that would never happe...

Fun with Sedation

Fulgrim and Ferrus were playing off in a quiet part of the Palace. They were done with their homework and a bit bored. They were challenging each other to various tasks. Fulgrim was trying to get Ferrus to do something that looked more like actual dancing than spasmodic shaking. "You look like Angron trying to control himself," Fulgrim said. "Maybe that's how I like to dance," Ferrus said. His temper was fairly short, but he tended to have more control than Angron. "But you could be so much more," Fulgrim insisted. He was very much of the mind that the Primarchs were more than just tools of war, and that culture would be vital when the galaxy was conquered. "I can't be what I want to be?" Ferrus asked. "I agree that we can be more than tools of war, but I want to be my own person." "Fair enough," Fulgrim said. "Diversity is important for an efficient society." "Yes," Ferrus said. "D...

A Sick Malcador

Malcador woke feeling horrible. He knew he had been getting sick, but he had been trying to work through it. That wasn't going to work today, Malcador hated taking sick days. It always made him feel like a failure. +My lord, can you handle the day without me?+ Malcador asked the Emperor, the effort of making the psychic connection was proving strain enough. +I believe so+ the Emperor said. +Is something wrong?+ +I need a sick day+ Malcador admitted, sounding glum. +My apologies.+ +Your apologies are unneccessary+ the Emperor said. +I'll send the Primarchs to keep you company today.+ The Primarchs had the day off from Nova, though they normally would have stayed in their own residence. +Alright+ Malcador said. He hoped they wouldn't be too restless, he wouldn't be able to control them today. "You will be spending the day with Malcador," the Emperor announced aloud. The Primarchs all looked over to their father. "He's not feeling well, so yo...
